Travellers no longer require Covid-19 test irrespective of vaccination status – FG

The federal government has said either pre-arrival or post-arrival testing for COVID-19 is no longer required for travellers “irrespective of vaccination status”.

The Telegraph learnt this on Monday in a letter by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) directed to all airline operators.

With the information in the letter, air passengers do not need to wear face masks at the airport.

“COVID-19 Travel Testing: Pre-departure and Post-arrival COVID-19 PCR tests are no longer required for all passengers irrespective of vaccination status. PCR tests required for all partial/not fully vaccinated passengers have been suspended,” the letter, signed by Musa Nuhu, NCAA director-general, contained.

NCAA, however, added that passengers with severe illness may still need to use face masks
